ABOUT SIAFA BARCLAY

As an immigrant from Liberia, West Africa, Siafa lives in Roseville with his family for ten years and presently volunteers on the City’s Finance Commission for two years. His wife, Nora and two daughters (Angie & Gloria) both like biking and walking the beautiful parks of Roseville. He loves spending time with his girls singing and playing guitar and teaching them to be great citizens. They consider Roseville a home away from home. His younger brother, Elvis lived with him, graduated from Roseville High School, and volunteered for the City’s Police Department as an Explorer. Siafa earned his Associate’s in Pharmacy Technology from Rasmussen College, MN and later his Bachelor’s in Organizational Communications from Metropolitan State University, MN. He is presently employed at Regions Hospital working with mental health and addiction patients. He and his family worship at the Redeemed Life Church International where he once served as an Administrator. Siafa is deeply rooted in community development, healthy and secure environment. He believes in the philosophy, “Different people, one family” and desires our city improves that spirit of community engagement where we all feel involved, and our voices heard. He is very approachable and always willing to help and listen to others.

Volunteer Services:

  • 2021-present: Volunteer,  Roseville City’s Ethics Commission

  • 2020-present: Volunteer, the Roseville City’s Finance Commission

  • 2021: Volunteer, “Feed my Starving Children”, a non-profit organization engaged in feeding hungry societies.

  • 2018-2019: Volunteer, the International Institute of Minnesota, teaching basic English to newly arrived immigrants
